Finding sports that provide inclusive support
All sporting organisations should provide some level of support for children with disability. This is based on the individual needs of your student(s) and best managed in conversation with the sporting organisation you want to work with.
Modified programs: Some Sporting Schools partner sports have partnered with National Sporting Organisation for people with a disability (NSOd). These sports will offer sport bookings which are specifically modified for students with a disability.
Information sources:
- The Sporting Schools website provides information on the sports which partner with NSOds
- Using the filter in the booking system for 'Modified inclusive support' (see image)
Communicating your student's needs to the sporting organisation
There is a section specifically dedicated to disability support in the booking process. This is located after the class configuration section.
Please discuss any needs with the sporting organisation when they contact you to organise the booking.
