Who should be registering as a provider?
Generally, you should register as a provider if you are not a national or state sports organisation or a coach.
Employees of national and state sports organisations that represent regional areas, smaller than a state, should register as a provider.
Who should register as a provider | Who is not a provider |
A provider (coaching provider) who was registered as a provider in the former Sporting Schools system |
National sporting organisation (NSO) |
Any provider organisation, that was not previously registered to the Sporting Schools system, that falls into the following categories:
|
State sporting organisation (SSO) |
A regional NSO/SSO organisation that represents an area smaller than state level eg. Western Sydney |
A coach |
Who can register a provider account?
A contact can register a provider account and will be the only assigned admin user for the provider organisation. Work is in progress to allow multiple admin users per provider.
Information to collect before you start registration
Information | Detail |
Your organisation name |
Once active, your organisation name will show to schools in the Sporting Schools booking system. It is important your organisation name is the one known by schools in your local area. If you are part of a franchise, please reference your franchise area. eg 'Goal Coaching - Goulburn' If you are an NSO/SSO regional provider, use a name schools will recognise. eg NRL - Western Sydney |
If you approved by the NSO to deliver the national product (for the sport(s) you select) |
See 'Connecting my provider to a sport' section below |
ABN | Providers need to provide their ABN or can declare they are ABN exempt if relevant |
Disability support your organisation provides | This can be an overview of the typical support your coaches provide when delivering to students with disability |
Connecting my provider to a sport
All providers must connect themselves to one or more sport(s). These are the sport(s) you provide coaching for. These sports must be one of the sports recognised in the Sporting Schools program.
In the registration process you will be asked, for each sport you select, if you are approved by the national sport organisation to deliver the national product for that sport (or seeking endorsement to deliver under the NSO).
Typically, you are approved to deliver the national product if you have a direct agreement with the NSO or SSO for the sport. If you believe you are approved to deliver the national product, it is worth ensuring this agreement with the NSO or SSO is still valid, before you register.
NSO contacts can be found here.
Providers can choose not seek endorsement by the NSO for your sport(s).
